About CodeCatcher
CodeCatcher filters incoming SMS messages and performs actions when a message matches a user-defined rule. Users can create different filters for senders and message formats, then choose what should happen to a match. Actions include showing codes in customized notifications, copying them to the clipboard, reading them aloud with the phone’s text-to-speech engine, and forwarding messages through the carrier’s SMS service. The app keeps a searchable history of filtered messages by sender and date and provides small summaries for recent senders or individual filters. It can be used to handle one-time codes and other messages without manually copying them, while forwarding only when configured. CodeCatcher is described as offline, with message data stored on the phone and no tracking. Because it works with SMS content, its role is automation of incoming messages rather than authentication or verification itself. A dark mode and dynamic theme are also available.
