About MAXS Module ContactsRead
MAXS Module ContactsRead is an add-on that lets the MAXS automation system look up contacts stored on an Android device. It can retrieve a contact using a phone number, name, nickname, or other contact information. The module makes those lookups available to other MAXS components that need to reference a person in the address book. ContactsRead is not a standalone app and does not install a launcher. It requires the MAXS host application and a configured MAXS transport to receive and respond to requests. Once set up, a user or another module can request contact details through the available lookup commands. This module is useful when an automated workflow needs to identify a contact before taking another action, such as finding a person by a number or name. Its role is limited to querying contact information; MAXS and its transport provide the automation and communication around it.
