About openHAB Beta
openHAB Beta is the early-access Android companion app for an openHAB home-automation server. The server brings devices and technologies from different manufacturers together, then exposes them to automation rules and user interfaces. More than 200 add-ons support a broad range of devices and communication methods. The app connects to that server to provide mobile access to the home-automation setup and includes an action plugin for automation workflows. A running openHAB server is required. This beta build is intended for trying new features and providing early feedback, so it may change before features reach the stable app. Notifications are polled periodically in this build rather than arriving through push delivery. The app is a mobile client for a separately configured home-automation system, not a standalone controller.
