About PocketClaw

PocketClaw is an Android app that runs an AI agent and its supporting tools locally on the phone. The language model itself runs through a provider selected by the user, so using the app requires an API key or a compatible endpoint. The agent has a local workspace that it can read and write, while its gateway, credentials, and bundled command-line tools are kept on the device. The bundled tools include utilities for working with code, files, text search, and databases. Users can chat with the agent in the app, or optionally connect a messaging channel. A local dashboard provides controls for model providers, skills, channels, and logs; it can also be opened in a browser on the user’s own network if its public mode is enabled. Reusable skills let the agent apply sets of instructions and tools to tasks. PocketClaw is intended for arm64 Android devices running Android 8 or newer. It does not contact external services until the user configures them; afterward, network access depends on the selected model provider and on tools or channels the user chooses to use. This arrangement keeps the agent runtime and workspace on the phone while relying on a separately configured model service for language generation.
