About Relagent
Relagent is a mobile interface for a self-hosted AI assistant. It connects to a separately running Relagent engine and provides chat sessions that can be resumed across devices. The engine can use open-weight models through an OpenAI-compatible interface, either locally hosted or through an external provider. API-key authentication is available, and the server can be protected through HTTPS or a VPN. The assistant can use tools such as web search, with configurable permission prompts based on a selected privacy level. Speech input and output are supported in about 40 languages, and voice processing can run on the device or through a self-hosted speech service. The app needs internet access to communicate with the engine and download speech models; it does not continuously listen to the microphone unless voice input is explicitly activated. A running Relagent engine is required.
