About Termux:API
Termux:API is an add-on that exposes selected Android device functions to scripts and command-line programs running in Termux. It can read or send SMS, access location data, send text to the system speech engine, vibrate the device, use the clipboard, and list contacts. These functions let scripts interact with phone features that are not normally available to a shell program. The add-on requires both the main Termux app and an additional API package installed inside that environment. It is intended for users who want to automate Android actions from scripts; the permissions and data access depend on which function a script invokes.
