About 5G Proxy Pro
5G Proxy Pro turns an Android phone’s cellular connection into a SOCKS5 proxy that other devices can use over Wi-Fi, hotspot, or USB tethering. No root access is required. The proxy accepts TCP and UDP traffic, including IPv4, IPv6, and domain names, and can support up to 1,000 concurrent connections according to the supplied description. Users choose a port, optionally set a username and password, and start the service. The app displays the proxy address for the connected local network. Traffic from client devices is forced over cellular, while Wi-Fi is used only as the local connection between the phone and clients. The listener binds to local network interfaces and is not exposed over cellular. Leaving authentication empty creates an open proxy, so the supplied description recommends using that mode only on a trusted local network. A health check and heartbeat monitor the service and can restart it automatically. The app shows Wi-Fi, hotspot, USB, and cellular addresses, plus connection status. Credentials are excluded from cloud and device-transfer backups. The app makes limited network requests for cellular health checks and to display the public cellular address when the user refreshes it. It is intended for sharing a phone’s mobile data with nearby devices, not for operating a public internet proxy.
