About ANOTHERpass
ANOTHERpass is an Android password manager and one-time-code authenticator. It uses a PIN together with a generated master-password token to unlock the vault; the token can be carried as a QR code or NFC tag. Biometric access is also available as a convenience option. The app can generate passwords using configurable pseudo-phrases designed to be readable while remaining unpredictable, with lengths from 16 to 32 characters. Credentials can be searched and grouped, imported or exported in formats such as KeePass and CSV, and autofilled in apps and websites. The app supports HOTP and TOTP one-time codes and notifications for expired credentials. Passwords can be displayed over other apps, and the clipboard function is disabled by default. Optional safeguards include obfuscating important passwords and destroying the vault after too many failed attempts. Vault encryption can be configured with several algorithms and key-derivation options. Where available, the app can use a device security chip or trusted execution environment. It works offline; internet access is only needed for the optional browser-extension feature, which shares credentials with a desktop browser over a local network. ANOTHERpass supports English, German, Dutch, and Chinese, plus a dark theme.
