About Anywherelan

Anywherelan creates a peer-to-peer mesh VPN for connecting a user’s devices at the IP level across different networks. Devices can be added by scanning a QR code, and built-in NAT traversal attempts to connect them directly. If direct connections are not possible because both devices are behind NAT, encrypted traffic can be routed through community relays. The app supports Android, Windows, Linux, and macOS. Users can reach services on their other devices or route traffic through a remote device. Routing can apply to an individual app through a SOCKS5 proxy or to all device traffic through a full-tunnel exit node. These options support remote access, local-network-style multiplayer, and reaching services without exposing them publicly. The product describes its network as using TLS 1.3 and peer authentication. Anywherelan’s purpose is direct device-to-device connectivity, with relays as a fallback when a direct path cannot be established.
