Discover Feed Filter

Discover Feed Filter modifies the Google Discover feed shown on the launcher’s leftmost screen and in the Google app.

About Discover Feed Filter

Discover Feed Filter modifies the Google Discover feed shown on the launcher’s leftmost screen and in the Google app. It removes sponsored cards and ads before they appear in the feed, and lets users filter stories by headline or publisher using plain text or regular expressions. Built-in clickbait presets provide starting points for filtering, and a dashboard counts the ads and stories that have been hidden. The module can also replace redirect links from shared articles with their direct addresses. After an update to the Google app, users can reopen the module and rescan; an automatic repair option is available on rooted devices. Discover Feed Filter requires the Google app, a rooted Android device, and an Xposed framework manager such as LSPosed or Vector. Without these components, the module does not function. It changes the feed inside the host app rather than providing a separate news reader. The tool is useful for users who want fewer sponsored items and personalized headline filters in Discover. Because it modifies another app’s interface, its operation may depend on changes to that app and may need repair after updates. The product description says automatic repair requires root.
