About Global Send
Global Send is an Android messaging app that encrypts messages and connects users directly rather than carrying messages through a central message server. Users do not need to create an account. Relay servers are used to discover a recipient’s address, after which the message connection is made directly between devices. Users can deploy their own relay instead of relying on public relays. Because there is no server holding messages for later delivery, the app needs to keep running in the background to receive them. This is an important part of its design: recipients need to be reachable for messages to arrive. Global Send is at an early stage of development, and features such as image sending, message editing, deletion, and repeated unread-message notifications are not yet implemented. The app is intended for direct encrypted text messaging without account registration. Its operation depends on recipient discovery through relays and ongoing background availability. Users should distinguish this current messaging workflow from future features listed in the product description, which are not yet available.
