About Link Clear

Link Clear removes tracking parameters from URLs using a ruleset bundled with the app. It works offline by default: users can share a link to the app, clean a copied link from a Quick Settings tile, or paste a URL into an editor that shows a live before-and-after difference. From the confirmation screen, the cleaned link can be copied, shared, or opened. An automatic-action option can perform a chosen action immediately. The app only acts when the user shares or pastes a link or taps the tile. It does not monitor the clipboard in the background and does not require runtime permissions. Two optional network features are off by default: resolving shortened links before cleaning and manually refreshing the bundled ruleset. Link Clear is intended for people who want to remove known tracking parameters before sharing or opening a URL. The product description states that its rules are based on an external open-source ruleset, but it does not identify every URL parameter it can remove.
