About MetroVault

MetroVault is an offline Bitcoin signing app designed to keep private keys on a phone that has no network access. It communicates with an online watch-only wallet through QR codes: unsigned transactions are scanned, reviewed, signed on the offline device, and returned as QR data. Animated QR formats support transactions that are too large for a single code. The app can export watch-only public information and verify addresses on the signing device. It supports single-signature and multisignature wallets, several address types, BIP-39 passphrases, Silent Payments, and testnet use. Key tools include seed and password derivation, custom entropy from dice or coin flips, and mnemonic checksum checks. Messages can also be signed and verified. The app describes local key encryption, biometric unlock, separate main and decoy wallets, and protections against repeated failed unlock attempts. MetroVault is intended for users managing their own offline Bitcoin signing workflow. It has no internet permission and uses QR communication, but handling wallet keys still requires care: users must understand backups, recovery phrases, and transaction details before signing. Product security features do not remove the need to protect the device and verify transactions independently.
