About Nextcloud Passwords
Nextcloud Passwords is an Android client for viewing and editing password records stored in the Passwords app on a user’s Nextcloud server. It can display passwords and folders, create or edit entries, and manage folders. Custom fields are supported for storing information beyond a standard username and password. The client can serve as Android’s autofill provider on Android 8.0 and later, making saved credentials available when signing into apps or websites. It can cache site icons to reduce data use, and it offers an app lock using a passcode or biometric authentication. A compatible Nextcloud server with the Passwords app installed is required. The client connects only to the user’s own server according to the supplied description, so password availability depends on that server being configured and reachable. It is intended as a mobile interface and autofill companion for an existing self-hosted password store.
