About Open Passkey Authenticator

Open Passkey Authenticator is an Android credential-provider app for creating and using passkeys through Android Credential Manager. It supports on-device passkeys on Android 13 or newer and can also use external hardware security keys for sign-in. The app provides an overview of passkeys, with options to view, edit, or delete entries stored on the device and, where supported, on FIDO devices. The app must be enabled as a passkey provider in Android settings before it can supply credentials. A shortcut in the app’s settings helps open the relevant system configuration. Once configured, it integrates with sign-in flows that use Android Credential Manager. Open Passkey Authenticator is focused on passkey storage and use, rather than conventional passwords or one-time codes. Its support for on-device and compatible hardware-key passkeys provides a central place to manage credentials available through the Android credential system.
