About PassPony: Git Password Manager
PassPony is an Android password manager for password stores encrypted with pass or passage formats. Users can clone or import an existing store, browse and search entries, and synchronize changes with their own Git remote. The app uses the same file formats as the corresponding command-line tools, supporting compatibility with desktop clients. Entries can include one-time codes. Users can scan a QR code, paste an authentication link, or enter a key, then view a live code with a countdown. Other tools include a password generator, system autofill, and a clipboard that clears itself after 45 seconds. Biometric unlock is available, and conflict resolution can be handled for individual entries during synchronization. For autofill, only entry names are indexed; password contents are not decrypted until the user fills an entry. A diagnostics screen provides a copyable report without secret information. PassPony is open-source software and does not require a hosted account or server; users sync through their own Git remote.
