About PassVault

PassVault is an offline password manager for storing credentials on an Android device. Entries are kept in an encrypted local database, and users can unlock the vault with a PIN or biometric authentication. The app also includes a password generator and strength scoring, custom categories, and search and filtering for finding saved records. The vault can be imported or exported, with automatic backups and configurable retention. Users can choose a backup location through Android’s file picker. Existing data can be imported from Bitwarden and KeePass, with support for JSON, CSV, and KDBX files. Screenshots can be blocked while viewing sensitive information. PassVault does not require internet access, and its description says data stays on the device. Backups may be encrypted or unencrypted, so users should choose a protected destination and understand the format they export. The app is intended for local credential storage; the supplied information does not describe synchronization between devices.
