About Pocket2FA
Pocket2FA is a mobile client for a self-hosted 2FAuth server. It generates TOTP and Steam one-time codes locally and synchronizes account data with the user’s server. Codes refresh with a countdown timer and can be copied with one tap. Users can hide codes by default and reveal them with a long press, organize accounts into groups, and display service icons. Accounts can be added by scanning a QR code with the camera or from an image in the gallery. The app supports multiple 2FAuth servers. Account storage is encrypted using Android Keystore, and optional biometric authentication can be used to unlock the app. Pocket2FA requires a self-hosted 2FAuth instance and does not function as a standalone authenticator. Codes are generated on the device, while synchronization depends on the configured server. The description states that secrets do not leave the device during local code generation; server synchronization remains part of the product’s required workflow.
