About Private Internet Access VPN

Private Internet Access VPN is an Android client for connecting to a VPN service. It supports WireGuard and OpenVPN protocols and includes a kill switch that blocks traffic if the VPN connection drops. Split tunneling lets users choose which apps send traffic through the VPN, while DNS-based filtering can block ads and trackers. Users can customize encryption settings and select from available VPN servers. The client handles the device-side connection and controls, while the VPN service provides the network infrastructure. It is intended for people who want to route selected or all device traffic through a VPN connection, including when using public Wi-Fi or other networks. This product is the open-source Android client; it requires a separate account with the corresponding VPN service to connect. Its features include protocol selection, traffic controls, a connection kill switch, DNS filtering, and encryption settings.
