About Secure QR Share
Secure QR Share transfers short text, passwords, or links between nearby devices using an encrypted QR code. The sender enters text and a shared PIN, then displays a QR code. The recipient scans it in the app and enters the same PIN to decrypt the content, which is copied to the clipboard. The app can receive selected text through Android’s share sheet and can open QR codes from a camera or browser. An optional unencrypted mode is available for public links that do not need protection. Encryption and decryption happen on the devices, without a server or cloud service, and the app works offline. Secure QR Share is intended for transferring text between people who are physically nearby without typing it manually. It uses AES-256-CBC with a key derived from the shared PIN. The app has no account, ads, tracking, analytics, or runtime internet permission according to its description.
