About Vault Explorer
Vault Explorer opens and browses encrypted containers and directory vaults directly on an Android device. It supports several common encrypted formats and disk-image types, and can read or write filesystems such as NTFS, FAT, exFAT, and ext2/3/4 inside a container. The app can mount multiple containers at once and unlock them with a password, PIN, pattern, or biometric authentication. Built-in viewers and editors cover photos, audio and video, PDFs, web pages, Markdown, and text or code; additional tools include an image editor, archive browser, encrypted password vault, and a camera that saves directly into a container. Vault Explorer can create containers, synchronize a vault with a folder, and store data on device storage, SD cards, or cloud document providers. It also includes utilities such as file encryption, hash verification, key generation, and container repair. The product says decryption occurs locally and it has no internet permission. Files leave a vault only through user-initiated or configured export, sharing, or synchronization. Mask Mode changes the app’s home-screen identity and opens a genuine local file browser; it is not described as hiding activity from other people.
